Me and Joe in the fire buggy... Aptly named berserker!
Here's the breakdown of our adventures:
We got into Sac late Friday night and ate awesome Thai food. Saturday we woke up kinda late, ate mexican food (God, I miss good mexican food!) for lunch (with Dags and kendall), then headed down to the city. Our hotel was awesome and right on Union square (Diva was the name) -we had three rooms for seven of us (party time! -we drank a half a case of Charbay over the course of the night). We ate a slice of pizza and then took BART over to Oakland where the show was. We made it to Oakland by some miracle (because we had no idea what we were doing, not to mention our trashy pants were half on half off) and found the show. It was amazing! I can't even begin to describe it... Just crazy and metal and fire and freaks and odd things I would have never imagined -pretty fun! Here's a review I agree with. After that, we went out to Ruby Skye for a few hours. Very good dancing music and it was packed (yeahyah for Bastille day)!
Sunday we woke up a little earlier and walked around a little -ate lunch at East Side West Cafe, where my sister and Marko have been going for over ten years (we saw Chuck Palahniuk there, if you know who that is). Everybody at the restaurant knew Marko and my sis, so it was nice to be treated like family. They gave us the best mango gelato I have ever eaten. It was like a perfectly ripe fruit frozen in time and dancing around on my tongue. Yep. I'll be eating that again! I also had the perfect mac & cheese! What a meal... Seriously!
Then we went up to Haight, cruised around, took Joe and Bonnie across the golden gate and up to the Marin headlands, then off to the airport.
Fun times!
